Map of St. Vincent and the
Grenadines

St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a chain of 30 islands (most uninhabited) in the Eastern Caribbean, located 100 miles west of Barbados. They comprise main island St. Vincent, and include Bequia (great sailing, turtle santuary, and well known for the Easter Regatta), Mustique (world renowned for the luxurious homes of the rich and famous, and Basil's Bar), Union Island (popular for watersports and lively cultural festivals), Mayreau (a small and rural hideaway with magnificent beaches and accessible only by boat ), Palm Island and Petit St. Vincent (private resorts), Canouan (the home of exclusive resort Raffles), and the breathtakingly beautiful Tobago Cays Marine Park for turtle-watching and quality snorkelling.

St. Vincent is volcanic in nature, and consequently the beaches have black as well as white sand. Its mountain ranges, rainforest interior, waterfalls and rivers makes for a truly lush landscape which, coupled with the Atlantic and Caribbean oceans and beaches, makes St. Vincent an island of delightful contrasts, and one of the most beautiful in the entire Caribbean.

The Grenadines islands are jewels of the Caribbean and are some of the region’s best destinations for watersports and golden sand beaches. The larger islands are accessed by small plane, and all can be reached by boat from St Vincent.
